Playwright, poet, composer and the maker of Joymoti (1935), the first Assamese film. His first play, Sonit Kunwori, was staged at the Ban Theatre in Tezpur. Xunpakhili means a golden butterfly; in its mark, the butterfly’s wings are beams of light.
